Film Updates...

Blog Exclusive!

The latest Resident Evil film "RE: Afterlife" stars RE series veteran Milla Jovovich (former wife of Luc Besson, one of my all-time favorite directors). It's in 3D of course, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. One reason this film will look good in 3D is that every single shot is filmed, not converted, in 3D. That being said "Afterlife" should be a brainless, sexy, gross and in-your-face flick from start to finish. This is a good bet if you want to have fun at the movies.

For you documentary lovers out there (myself included) "I'm Still Here" (perhaps the sequel to I'm Not There?) is a Casey Affleck flick. It documents the life of actor turned rapper turned weirdo Joaquin Phoenix. You may recall YouTube videos of Phoenix rapping at clubs and his stint on The Late Show With David Groperman. I may have spelled that wrong. It looks interesting so be sure to check out the trailer online.

My last recommendation is "The Virginity Hit." Starring a relatively unknown cast of teenagers, the film looks at one guys life and his attempts to get laid. Think of it as The 17 Year Old Virgin. Judging from the trailers it resembles a mockumentary, but the film is categorized as strictly comedy on The Internet Movie Database (IMDB).

And if you haven't been to the movies lately be sure to catch "Machete" starring Danny Trejo and "Piranha 3D", a gore-fest to top all gore-fests.

Feel free to watch the machete at work in the trailer below:

As always thanks for reading!
